Afternoon thunderstorms happen every afternoon in the Florida summertime. But when the rain is over and the light breaks through the sky, it is a beautiful sight. The old rowboat and palm tree made a great composition. 16x20 oil.

Once in a while you find a beach that is untouched except by waves and seaweed along the shoreline. With the afternoon sun, a shady cove is a fun place to explore. 16x20 oil.

We had a beautiful blooming of tabebuia trees in Florida this spring. This tree was by my house. The yellow blooms were like flowering sunshine! Now on exhibit at Leu Gardens, Orlando, FL, in my "For the Love of Florida" show until July 9.

Blue Cypress Lake is in the middle of Florida. Large cypress trees are along the shoreline of the large lake. At sunset, the lake becomes vibrant with color. Truly Old Florida at its finest! This larger painting is now on exhibit at Leu Gardens in Orlando until July 9, 2014.

This 12 x 24 oil painting was from a houseboat trip on the St. John's River. It was quite an adventure! Gators everywhere, birds everywhere, and the sky was yellow at sunrise. Pristine wilderness surrounded us as were experiencing beautiful Old Florida. Palms lined the river for miles. Now on display at Leu Gardens in Orlando until July 9, 2014.
