Glorious Tabebuia, A Yellow Blooming Tree in Springtime by Judy Batterson, Florida Artist

We had a beautiful blooming of tabebuia trees in Florida this spring. This tree was by my house. The yellow blooms were like flowering sunshine! Now on exhibit at Leu Gardens, Orlando, FL, in my "For the Love of Florida" show until July 9.

Glorious Tabebuia, Spring Tree with Yellow Blooms by Judy Batterson, Florida Artist

"Glorious Tabebuia"....What a beautiful sign of spring when the tabebuia trees are in full bloom! I painted this one before the rains washed away the blossoms. Very thick paint and a reminder of spring! 9x12 original oil on canvas.

Sunflower, a mini painting by Judy Batterson

This mini sunflower painting is part of a collection of "Sunflower" mini paintings for a sunflower theme wedding brunch! Each guest will receive a small painting on a mini easel. I painted each one in Georgis O'Keeffe style, filling the canvas with the face of the flower and made each petal an impasto brushstroke so it would be thick on the canvas. This should make the wedding table full of sunshine! I painted extra ones to have on hand because sunflowers are so popular. 3 x 3" original @ $25
