Footbridge at Gemini, sequence of 3 stages of bridge in a tropical setting by Judy Batterson
This is the first photo in a sequence of three showing the layering of this painting. The location is Gemini Springs near DeLand, Florida. This beautiful park is filled with towering oaks, pines, palms and clear bubbling springs. When I saw the footbridge, I thought of a "tropical Monet" painting. This first photo shows about seven painting layers used to create the lush background and
the foundation of the water. I think I used every brush I own to paint the various vegetation. The colors are true to life. Next,
the bridge will be painted. www.judybatterson.com
